Welcome to our Santosha Yoga Sangha! “Sangha” is a Sanskrit word that means spiritual community. Here at Santosha, we embrace Yoga’s roots by honoring the ancient traditions from India and Southeast Asia. 
YOU are welcome
You become a part of our Sangha as soon as you step into our online studio! We’re so glad you found us! Some folks join us for a single online yoga class or a special event. Some folks attend a regular class once a week to stay connected to their meditation yoga practice. Many people support their mind, body, and spirit by attending several classes a month as an Anahata Unlimited Member!

Our interactive online yoga classes are totally different than watching a YouTube video
Online yoga classes are a great way to find a yoga class that’s happening soon, a meditation class that’s happening now, or a class that combines gentle yoga and a restorative experience that you can plan to attend later this week! Unlike watching a pre-recorded class, where you might have to keep looking up at the screen to figure out what’s going on, at Santosha you can remain focused inward, on your own experience.

Our Instructors will guide you verbally, and because they are there to help support you, they can offer suggestions, modifications, and adjustments all along the way. Often, a cue that helps one student will help everyone on the Zoom screen. We love the sense of community that naturally develops every time we share a practice.

Many experiences, one studio

Santosha Yoga offers a variety of options from a very restorative experience in guided meditation all the way to an active practice on the mat:

  • Maybe you found your way to Santosha to try out a Beginner Yoga class?

  • Maybe you’re looking for a more restorative yoga experience or a more gentle yoga style?

  • Or perhaps you’re ready for a morning yoga practice that challenges you?

  • You might be looking for a fully-guided Meditation experience with Yoga Nidra.

  • You or a family member might want to try a Chair Yoga class - which is a great yoga for seniors option - but it’s actually a great class for anyone who doesn’t want to get up and down from the floor during their practice. 

All of our classes can support your experience of: 

  • Focusing inward.

  • Moving your breath; working with your mind; moving your body. 

  • Opening to learning something new. 

  • Connecting with other people who are on their own journey. 

  • Participating regularly in small classes so the Instructor can support your personal practice.

  • Taking time for self-observation and reflection.

  • Being a part of a nurturing community.

Yoga For Beginners

We love Yoga for Beginners. If you are new to Yoga, welcome! We’re glad you found us. Whether you are ready to start with a physically challenging class or a more relaxing practice on the mat, we have great options. All of our postures are fully guided, so you don’t need to know anything in advance. We suggest keeping your camera on so we can make sure that your yoga for Beginners practice is working for you. Santosha Instructors are paying attention to the students in our Zoom rooms, and we tailor each class from moment to moment. We can’t wait to meet you!

Chair Yoga

Our well-rounded Chair Yoga class helps support Healthy Aging with a combination of wisdom, stretches, breathing practices, movement, and an active meditation practice for brain health. Many of our Chair Yoga students are seniors who enjoy the community and always report that they feel better after the practice. A lot of people think Chair Yoga for seniors might not be for anyone else - but it’s actually an accessible practice for people of any age who want to do yoga without getting up and down from the floor. Ideal for a mid-morning “movement snack” if you sit at a computer all day.

At Santosha Yoga, we offer a variety of approaches that help you to restore your body, mind, and spirit. Our restorative yoga practices include:
  • I AM Yoga Therapy - combining fully-supported shapes with a meditative approach. We sometimes call this the “legs up the wall” class. 

  • I AM Yoga Nidra - fully-guided meditation practice combining breath, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques for a restorative experience. 

  • Yin Yoga - includes focusing on the breath and holding poses with plenty of props and modifications. Our Yin classes combine either a more-active movement experience or a Yoga Nidra. 

The modern pace of life has so many stimuli and demands. This revs up the mind, the nervous system, and the physical body. Because of this intensity, the process of relaxing can feel challenging or hard to access when you finally have a moment to rest. The restorative yoga practices at Santosha offer a way to support your relaxation process, all guided by a live instructor, online via Zoom, so you can access these classes no matter where you are!
We especially recommend the Sunday evening practice Sweet Dreams Yin Nidra with Padma.

Meditative Yoga

All of Santosha’s classes offer a meditative yoga experience. Some have a fully-guided meditation called Yoga Nidra. Other classes use a unique I AM Yoga Method called the 2nd half of the pose that gives meditative guidance to pause, reflect, and feel the sensations inside the body. Our Yoga Therapy class takes this further, offering a meditative yoga experience with every fully-supported shape.
