Up in the Trees: A Music Release & Kirtan
Brotherbear and Family will be stopping by Santosha on their East Coast Tour this Summer!
This band uses music as a tool to connect us to source, and strengthen the Human Tribe. Their music is a blend of their practice of devotional music and love for various forms of folk and roots music. Brotherbear and Jaishri’s roots in Native American culture shine strongly through their music.
Originally from the Umatilla Indian Reservation in NE Oregon, they have attended many trainings and have also lived at the Amrit Yoga Institute. Jayesh (Brotherbear), Jaishri, and their Daughter, Meadow Sunrise, lived and served there for a year while integrating the practices of yoga and devotional chanting with their New Age Folk sound. While living there, they raised money to record an album through kickstarter and it was released in May of 2014. This will be their first tour since the release and they are joined by guitar player, Will White-Shield, Drummer Jessay Negron, and Bassist Nic Smoak.
Brotherbear and Family are a tribe of Spirit-Driven Musicians, Yogis, and Healers whose intention in life is to experience our fullest potential as a Human Family through Music, Movement, Meditation and Connection to the Earth. They are originally from the Umatilla Indian Reservation in NE Oregon and their roots shine through their music. Combined with their love for folk, reggae and devotional chanting, a unique, unifying and heart-opening experience is created. They are currently located in N. Florida and are joined by an excellent band of Spiritual Pilgrims. They recently released their debut album, “Up In The Trees”, which is opening hearts globally due to the success of their kickstarter campaign.
