Introduction to Meditation Series
On three Thursdays: October 26, November 2, and November 9 from 7:30-8:45pm

Have you wanted to begin a personal meditation practice, but don’t know how to start? Do you wonder if it will be difficult to concentrate while meditating? What style of meditation is best for you? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then this mini-series is for you.
Over the three sessions we will discuss what meditation is, and what it is not. We will explore the benefits of a regular meditation practice, as well as the perceived barriers to an effective meditation practice. We will learn a sample of different techniques and have the opportunity to practice them. Each class will have a discussion component followed by a meditation experience.
Parvati is a Certified Amrit Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and Certified Amrit Yoga Nidra instructor. She is available for private yoga and meditation sessions. She is an avid kayaker, has participated in several charity 5K races, and enjoys the outdoors. She has been a yoga practitioner for over 15 years.
