Kick off 2018 with Yoga & Yoga Nidra!
Every year, we all see people get enthusiastic about goals or resolutions and mostly, those new things don’t tend to last. This creates a feeling of failure or frustration. In Yoga, we have an amazing tool that is a wonderful alternative for the New Year: Intention.
Join us in this interactive workshop to create (or update) your own Intention. We’ll talk how Intentions are different from goals and how they avoid the trap of success or failure. Intention has the potential to transform your whole life. And also, it’s a fun way to get clear about what you’re moving toward in in the New Year!
Then, we’ll practice a few simple stretches and yoga asana (poses). These gentle movements will be geared toward every level – from beginner to advanced. We’ll all practice beginner’s mind together (New Year, new moment) as we return to the present over and over – with each breath.
Finally, we’ll close with a full-length Yoga Nidra where you can plant your intention at the deepest level. No previous experience is needed. You simply lay down (or sit) in a comfortable, supported position and follow the instructions. In Yoga Nidra, we access the subtlest and deepest layers. When you make shifts at this level, it’s transformative.
You’ll leave feeling connected to your body, relaxed, and energized for the New Year – with an intention will guide you through 2018 and beyond!
Ganga (Janie) Fronek is a certified Integrated Amrit Method (I AM) Yoga Teacher. Her RYT500 includes Amrit Level I, Level II, Yoga Nidra, & Advanced Yoga Nidra and she’s also E-RYT200 (more than 1,300 hours of teaching). Ganga has been practicing Amrit yoga since 2002.
