New Year’s Day Yoga
Are you intending to do more yoga in 2014? Kick it off on New Year’s Day! Join us on Wednesday, January 1st, to firm up your intention and practice together!
3 pm – Mini-Workshop on Creating YOUR Intention
3:30-4:45pm – Afternoon Amrit class with Janie
We’ll begin with an introduction to “intention” in yoga. And then we’ll help you to create (or refresh/update) your own personal intention that will take you through 2014 and beyond!!
Our yoga practice will reinforce our individual and collective intentions for the New Year. We’ll draw inspiration from the Amrit Level I sequence as we release blockages (letting go of the past), remind ourselves how to enjoy our bodies right now (being in the present moment), and reconnect with heart and spirit (rejuvenating ourselves for the future). All levels of yoga experience and people of every shape and size are very welcome.
Janie is a certified Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 – Amrit Level I). She has been practicing Amrit yoga since 2002. Her practice deepened in 2011 when she separated from her former life partner at the same time as she left a 13-year career in non-profit fundraising and administration. Yoga gave her the tools and the practice to enjoy the transformation and the journey.
