Aquarian Sadhana

Sadhana or daily spiritual practice is the foundation of all spiritual endeavors. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. It can be done alone or in a group.

The Aquarian Sadhana is practiced by Kundalini Yoga Communities across the world during the “ambrosial hours” (the two and a half hours just before sunrise), when the sun is at a sixty-degree angle to the earth. The energy you put into your sadhana at this time gets maximum results: your world is quieter and it is easier to meditate.

Although done in a group, Aquarian Sadhana is not a class. You may come and lie down and simply rest in the energy. You are welcome to come in at any time and also to leave at any time.

The group energy of the 62 minutes of chanting is powerful, and sadhana is simply the best way I know to begin one’’s day.

This is a rough schedule for the practice:

  • 5am Recitation of JapJi.
  • 5:35am Tune in with the Adi Mantra, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo.
  • Kundalini Yoga Kriya for 25–45 minutes.
  • Deep relaxation.
  • The Aquarian Sadhana Mantra Meditations for 62 minutes.
  • Ending with a few minutes of Contemplative Moments/Prayer.
